Fused Glass

Glass fusing, also known as kilnforming, is fun and addictive! Cut candy-colored pieces of sparkling glass and combine them with stringers, noodles, shards, paint and powder. Fire your creation in a kiln and it melts together into a single piece of glass which can be formed over a mold, or just admired!

During the move, we are only offering private classes on a very limited basis. To schedule a fused glass class, select the description of the course you’d like to take, and let us know when your group is available.

Introduction to Glass Fusing

ages Appropriate for ages 17 and up
time Time: 6 hours
cost Cost: $220 per person - min. 2 people

During the class, students will learn to cut and lay out projects for successful glass fusing. Students will also learn about kiln use, firing schedules, and how glass behaves in a kiln. Each student will complete a fused glass coaster or tile and a plate or bowl.


Class fee includes glass, supplies, and the use of all tools necessary to complete at least 2 projects.

Fused Glass Pendant

ages Appropriate for ages 17 and up
time Time: 2.5 hours
cost Cost: $120 per person - min. 4 people

Glass fusing is fun and addictive! In this class you will choose from a gorgeous selection of fusible glass, then cut and arrange your pieces to form a pendant design. The pieces will be fused in a glass kiln, melting together into stunning, sparkling glass pendants. The class also includes an overview of the glass fusing process, and a fusing demonstration. Finished pendants will be available to pick up after the class date.


Class fee includes use of cutting tools, kiln firing, and a selection of fusible glass: frit, stringer, iridized glass, and dichroic glass.

Fused Glass Tile

Glass fusing is fun and addictive! In this class you will choose from a gorgeous selection of fusible glass, then cut and arrange your pieces to form a tile design. The tiles will be fused in a glass kiln, melting the pieces together into stunning, sparkling glass artwork. The class also includes an overview of the glass fusing process, and a fusing demonstration. Finished items will be available to pick up after the class date.

Fused Glass Suncatcher

ages Appropriate for ages 15 and up
time Time: 2 hours
cost Cost: $75 per person - min. 4 people

Learn the basics of fusing and create a charming window decoration using glass, frit and stringers. Design and lay out one or more suncatchers, which will be fused together in a glass kiln. This class also includes a fusing demonstration and an overview of the science behind glass fusing.
